Part 1:
Liz is sick of Dean not letting her in on his family secret, and when he comes to her to tell her he's ditching out and can't take her to her prom she completely breaks down. She wants out of the relationship and tells him so. Now he's upset at himself for not telling her because he's lost the love of his life. He comes to talk to her and she tells him he's got to let her inside or else it'll never work. He's willing to do anything and start over, but she's not sure if she can go through the heartbreak again, especially if he can't tell her the truth. He leaves town.
Part 2:
Dean comes back to town to discover Liz has a new boyfriend, Max. He stays in town to try to win her back, and she finds herself drawn back to Dean. She's torn between Max and Dean.
